In this course, we'll explore the world of anglophone comedy as a means to improve your English language and cultural competencies. We will use various media such as film, television, stand-up comedy and short stories as a basis for developing your skills in comprehension and speaking. Additionally, through analyzing different comedic works, you will improve your understanding of English speaking cultures generally, and more specifically the secrets behind comedy and storytelling, two skills that are particularly prized in the anglophone world.

Your instructor has a background both in television writing and language instruction, so while there will be a strong emphasis on building competencies through watching, reading and discussing comedic works, recurring grammar challenges will also be thoroughly addressed.
